About

What overfeed.news is, and how it gets built every day.

What this is

overfeed.news is an editorial aggregator for artificial intelligence: news, research papers, model releases, and community discussions, gathered from 14 curated sources into a single feed. Every entry links back to where it came from — we publish a short excerpt, never the full piece, because the underlying content belongs to the people who wrote it.

The goal is simple: instead of checking a dozen newsrooms, research feeds, model hubs, and forums separately, you check one place, sorted by section and freshness, and follow the link when something's worth reading in full.

How it works

A pipeline runs around the clock, polling each source, normalizing what it finds into a common shape, and slotting it into the right section — news, research, models, or community. New items appear as they're published, not on a fixed schedule.

Curation happens at the source level: we choose which feeds to track, not which individual stories to include. If a tracked source publishes it, it shows up here, excerpted and linked, exactly as they wrote it.

Free and Pro

The Free plan gives full access to the feed, search, and every source page, supported by a small number of house-style ads. Pro removes the ads and unlocks priority access to new sources as they're added, with more features planned.

Paid billing is not open yet: nothing on the site is behind a paywall today, and the Pro plan cannot be purchased until it is. When it opens, the change will be announced here and on the pricing page.

How the site makes money

Links to RunPod and Vast.ai on the GPU price pages are referral links. If you create an account through one of them and spend money there, the provider pays overfeed.news a small percentage of that spend. Your price is the same either way; the commission comes out of the provider's side.

The referral never touches the numbers. Prices are collected the same way from both providers, the cheapest one is the cheapest one, and no provider is placed higher, listed first, or described differently because of the commission. Every referral link is marked as sponsored so search engines can tell it apart from an editorial link.

Editorial policy for daily reports

Every day overfeed.news publishes a short report written from the numbers we measure ourselves: GPU rental prices from RunPod and Vast.ai, per-million-token prices for every model on OpenRouter, and counts of what the AI world published. The report is drafted by a language model working only from that day's dataset, and it is validated automatically before it goes live: every number in the text must exist in the data, no performance or benchmark claims are allowed, and third-party news is never rewritten, only named.

We publish the report automatically, without a human editor reading each one first. That is a deliberate trade-off: the checks above are strict enough that a report which fails them is discarded rather than fixed, and the dataset each report was written from is stored alongside it. If you find an error, write to [email protected] and we will correct or remove the report.
